|
|
My tourist visa runs out in two weeks and I have a New Zealand Passport.
I am currently looking at going to Japan to extend my visa for another three month as I have not found a job in Korea yet.
Has anyone done this before? If so could you help me out.
Does it matter what airport I fly out from and return (International or Domestic airport)?
Appreciate any help and advice!

It doesn't matter how or what port (airport) you leave from as long as you leave the country (even if only for a few hours) before your end date on your waiver stamp.
You can return on the next flight back and still no worry. |

Of course! As long as you leave within the 3 months period (last day included), you're fine. You just have to leave the country so you get an exit stamp and you can come back straight away and get a new entry stamp. Technically, you could do this a million times, don't worry! |

Not that simple.... apparently there are a lot of threads saying you need a return ticket or onward ticket before flying back to Korea. |

In the fall I was here for three months no visa (American, vwp), left for a few days, and returned to Korea for another 90-day stretch. I didn't have a return ticket when I came back into Korea in December, and it wasn't a problem. |
