so im looking at this supplement from optimumkorea and it looks great. Under Supplement Facts im aware that 단백질 stands for protein and 탄수화물 stands for carbohydrates. Supposedly, a serving (10 scoops or 200g) has 183 g carbs and 5g protein. Is this correct? I have a hard time believing that is the case. maybe the case for the carbs but having 5g of protein in one serving sounds too little. I want to believe they meant per scoop but im not so sure. Usually the protein supplements i see back home will provide 40-50g of protein per serving...
Im looking to bulk up soon and need a protein shake (among other foods) that can give me 40-50g of protein per serving. i want to know if this product is a good buy or not...
Any help is appreciated! |

Sounds to me like not a good buy, but I truly have no idea without seeing it.
If you are looking for something to bulk up and gain weight I would suggest:
TrueMass - 630 Calories and 46g Protein per serving --- I have actually used this as a meal replacement a few times, it's that thick.
Syntha-6 - 200 Calories and 22g of Protein. --- Has 6 different protein's they are not all the same.
Optimum 100% Whey Protein - 120 Calories and 24g of Protein. --- I use this right now (most of the time) I have it supplies me with the Protein I need, however it still allows me to eat 2 hours later.
You may find it difficult to find many products that offer the amount of protein you are looking for in each serving, but they can be found. bodybuilding.com is a great source (my opinion) shipping for me in Italy and Iraq (never tried in Korea) is normally 5 days MAX and I have my items in hand. |

thanks for the reference. i checked out the site, its user reviews, and the shipping options. After including shipping price, i find that the total is not much more expensive than korean websites selling the same products. It'll be a whole lot easier since i wont need a korean friend to help me out.
And thanks for the input. I'm thinking of IDS smart gainer and Optimum's pro complex since they fit my budget more closely... |
