Okay, so I /tried/ to break up with my korean girl friend last week, and low and behold, i am receiving a barrage of vulgar text messages late at night. she claims that she isnt the sender, and i kinda believe her since one of my old phones was capable of sending a text while using a different reply number...

i called KT and they said if i go to Technomart i can present my ID and they will be able to disclose the original sender, providing it did not originate from the internet...

before i make the trek to technomart, i was wondering if anyone can offer any other advice? is there another way to find out the original sender just short of getting police involvement?

right now its just "sticks-and-stones," so its not too much of a big deal, but if it continues ill have to change my number i guess...

Good luck trying to get the police involved...sounds like changing your number would be a quick, easy, painless, and 100% effective solution.

LOL it's definitely her, she's full of it. I you want to make sure, you can buy her some flowers and kiss and make up and see if the messages stop.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago, but the messages were a bit more threatening. I went into an SK customer center (not a normal retail shop, but one of the hubs) and told them the situation.

After getting approval from the manager, I had to fill out a couple of forms, select a few specific messages, denoting the time, date, incoming number, etc. Once that was done it took them about 30 seconds to find out that my exgirlfriend had been sending the messages.

That's the short version... Confused

The sooner the better. If this ends up being something big, and you didn't collect any evidence when it was time to do so, it will be he-said-she-said.

Honestly I don't see the benefit of going through all of that. I mean you are pretty sure you are getting the messages from her anyway, so proving it to yourself wont make much of a difference.

Depending on the phone you have, you may be able to set it up to mark messages from unknown numbers as "spam"..thereby you will never see them unless you venture into the spam folder. You should be able to also mark those numbers as "reject call" meaning that if they try to call from that number, it will never connect.

Respond with pathetic messages back. "Oh my god please stop what do you want from me??? I'M SO SCARED"

You will look like a headcase and your ex will get over you quicker.

There might be a function under settings, call setting, blocked call (password by default is 0000 on my phone). And you can block the number.

This can be got around if they hide their number.

This happened to me when a high school student got my number from a wrong call. he was calling me 20 times an hour

So i started sending him text messages with skype, first time 100 in a mass text bomb saying "stop texting me". then one more saying "next time it will be 500". 2 minutes later he sent one back saying sorry and I have never heard from him again

good luck

Wrong. The type to send these kinds of messages is probably hoping for that kind of reaction. Trust me, I lived through something 10X worse than this.

Sounds like the OP found out the true price of pancake butt. It leads to great disillusionment, I speak from personal experience on this one. I disagree about fighting crazy with crazy though, you'll never beat a Korean girl at that game. Next thing you know she'll have a bun in the oven and you're on the hook for it! Shocked

If a woman finishes with a guy he usually quietly deals with it and moves on in dignified fashion.
If he finishes with her, she totally loses her marbles. This goes all women but probably X 10 for Asian women. I've been nice in the past-dumped women very tacfully and even given them counselling to get over me. Can you see a woman ever doing the same for a guy? Not a chance.

I guess a woman's sense of self-worth is based far more on approval from others.

well there was a slim chance that we'd get back together. i kinda need to know if its actually her phone sending them...

i didnt really instigate it, i just simply asked her what was up and she denied it all. thats kinda why i dont think its her. if it is, then she's pretty messed up considering i didnt even giver her any fuel...

i told her i was gonna go to SKT in Technomart to find out the true sender, and i didnt receive any texts back from her yet..lol so i unno, maybe ive just managed to find me one of em crazy k-girls...
