|

Hi all-
I have an 8 a.m. flight to Japan tomorrow morning, which means I should ideally be at the airport around 6 a.m. tomorrow. I live near SNU, and the first airport bus is 4:40 a.m., and it says it takes 90 minutes, so that should almost be okay. Should be pretty smooth sailing that early in the morning...
The other option would be to sleep near the airport tonight. Are there any cheap options in or near Incheon airport? (Cheap beds for rent in the airport for example, capsule hotel style?)
Thanks! |

The bus sounds good.
But if you are really worried about time -
A spa/sauna complex has recently opened on the eastern side of the passenger terminal in the first floor basement.
Spa one Air, covering 1,350 square meters, is the only spa facility in the airport that can accommodate 2,000 people per day. It even has sleeping rooms.
Fitted with a luxurious interior, it offers Thai foot massages and body therapy to relieve traveler's stress at 15,000 won (about $14) during the day and 20,000 won at night.
Another sauna facility in the first floor basement is open 24 hours. The price is 10,000 won during daytime and 15,000 won at night including a sleeping room. Visitors can also get a haircut and have their shoes shined.
If you feel like that a sauna/spa is too much and you just want a quick shower, you can get one at the airport.
A traveler can take advantage of one of 28 shower rooms free of charge on the fourth floor of the passenger terminal. They are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Towels and other bathing supplies cost 3,000 won.
There are also nine relaxing couches on the fourth floor where a traveler can take a quick nap.

Thanks! (And indeed, Google is my best friend, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with staying in the airport facilities or had a good idea of time for the bus). It's really nice that Incheon has a sauna like that in the airport! |

When I was in your situation I slept at the airport.
I had a blanket with me. I arrived at the airport at about 11.30pm. I went upstairs to the quiet restaurant areas. I found some soft chairs and put them in a line facing a wall. Set my alarm for 6am and settled in for the night.
It wasn't a very satisfying sleep - there were some interruptions, but I did sleep a little.
I saved some money anyway! I'll do it again if I have to. |

If you get off the AREX at Unseo station (just before the airport) there's a ton of love-motel style places for about w45,000 a night. Last time I stayed at one called the Orange hotel. Big TV, PC, and soft bed. They're all outside the station. |
