Excuse my ignorance of the sport, but the other day I was talking to a Korean about the Olympics, and they brought up the concept of 'Hollywood Action' - that being, someone who overacts to draw some type of foul.

While I know that many sports have issues with people misleading refs to assign fouls, and I could understand a possible rule against it, I cannot believe that that is the actual name for it.

Can anyone enlighten me?

That was my guess as well.

Anyone know if that's an actual rule (in any way, shape, or form)?

yes, if a player tries to con the referee by diving/cheating to win a penalty/get a fellow player sent off, he gets a yellow card for it. More explanation here.

Not Konglish. It is a huge part of Australian and NZ culture. It can refer to some one who dives or a sportsman who could be considered "pretty", eg David Beckham.

Ok, but what do they call it in Aus/NZ? Diving (or simulation - the term used by FIFA), or Hollywood Action?

We just say "What a Hollywood", for instance. The "action" part must be a Korean invention.

I think in Oz we called it doing an "acting job". It does happen but it is very heavily frowned upon. You do it once, you're a poofter for life.

Hollywood action?? whatever next.

The term is called 'diving'. Its not to draw a foul its generally done to exagerate a foul and deceive the officials.
