I was hired by SMOE last week for March. My documents just got there today because of the holiday. I was told last week that I would probably get there by the end of February.
Is that even possible? Does SMOE have some special sway over the E2 visa application process? I asked both the representative from SMOE as well as my recruiter, and they just told me that we have to hurry. |

Your documents just got there? Well, mine got there about 1 and a half weeks ago, and they sent some papers back, went to the consulate (which oddly enough wanted yet ANOTHER police check!!) and I got my visa for Feb. 22nd, just 2 days before my Feb. 24th flight!
I wish you luck, but it may indeed be very very tight! |

| My visa took less than a week from the day I sent it in to the day I got it (Thursday-Tuesday). It's possible for you to get your E2 Visa before you fly off on the 27th if you send in your E2 docs a week prior to it. Not promising anything; just saying. |
