Hey guys,

Through a moment of unexpected stupidity or I dont know what it is, I fried an expensive Guitar-speaker amp thingie that a friend of mine owns. It's a Fender G-Dec. Either the voltage converter we were using was bad, or we put it into an overloaded surge protector - the main result being that the speaker started smoking and there was a large pop. Something was busted.

I opened up the speaker and it seems that a part needs to be replaced. It's not the fuse, but more likely a capacitator/resistor or some piece connected to the motherboard that has visibly been physically damaged.

So where do you recommend that I take it for repairs? Are their music shops in Yongsan, or is there a large music store that would do repairs on my speaker that you know of?

Thanks.

The chances of one easily replaceable thing being fried seems pretty unlikely. You should start researching the cost of replacing the piece.

+1... It could just be a fried resister/transister but most likely it'll have fried some wiring elsewhere along the way

If you go here.. It's in Insadong.. I can't quite explain how to get to it, but if you go to the insadong station, its all the way at the end of the street on the left in a huge 3 story building... There is a staircase on the outside that leads to the second floor.
