What gives?!?! I've been looking for root beer ever since I got here and I have yet to find any place that sells it. I needs me some root beer float!!!!!

Also, any of you know where I can get some dried Italian salami? I've been to Kim's Club, Emart, Homeplus and all my local deli/meat shops but I cannot find anything remotely close to what I'm looking for. I am so sick of ham as my only deli meat choice.

Root beer -- at the Red Door in Itaewon, Hannam Supermarket, or the foreign goods stores behind Hyundai Department Store in Shinchon.

Salami -- Hannam Supermarket, Costco, sometimes in the Import/Export market in Namdaemun.

I've seen some nice Italian salami at Costco, but it's always been too pricey for me to try it.

I have never once met a Korean who likes root beer. They have always told me it tastes like toothpaste. I miss the stuff.

danielle brand salami in Costco. they also have other cuts from same brand but more expensive. there's also a turd shaped ham wrapped in a net and wrapped in airtight plastic thats about 9,000 won that i use for sandwiches.

it's well worth the price considering you will be eating the best sandwiches possible in Korea Wink

So I bought some pretty awesome salami at Times Square Mall in Yeongdonggpo today. Pricey as hell but pretty good stuff.

Where can I go to find a Hannam Supermarket? I don't think there are any in my neck of the woods.

My wife loves root beer. The first time she traveled to the US with me, I made her try some and she loved it. Every time we go back to visit the US its the first thing she wants when we get there.

I have seen "Mug" root beer at the Filipino market near Heyhwa Station in Seoul. When my wife and I discovered that, she was very excited.
