Anyone ever done it? Researched it? I'll have 2 weeks vacation in summer and am thinking about going to southern Europe... Any info would be great.
(Prices and what not)

Well I'm not going to lie...its not cheap. You can probably get something for under $1500. A lot of airlines go to Europe, so it just depends on where you want to hit. I'm going to Rome in June on Korean Air.

Rome? Nice. I am thinkin Spain, Italy and Greece. Not sure yet. How long are you goin for? How much do you think the total trip will cost?

Well we are doing a cruise through the Greek Isles, leaving from Rome...hitting Turkey, Sicily, plus the Greek islands. So its different, but my friend just did it and stayed fairly cheap and was able to make it for like $2000 (airfare not included).

Fly to the country in Europe you really want to see, unfortunately it will be expensive during the Summer.
Then you could go Inter-railing around europe. Cheap and Fun! Plenty of my friends have inter-railed on tiny budgets!

I got a flight transferring through Tokyo on JAL for like 700 000 Won to Amsterdam for two weeks last summer. I would recommend a rail pass and a chunk of change for money. Shit can be expensive, but there are a lot of backpacker and interesting enough places to do on the cheap.
