Yeah, if you just ignore it. And it turns out you have it, then this poster is gonna get hunted down like a rabbit.
And besides, the odds of earth existing is about 1 in 14^-105 or something along those lines, yet here we are. Odd analogy, I know. |
People in high risk groups should get themselves tested (including those in the med profession) on an ongoing basis. People with high-risk lifestyles, same. Otherwise, they're likely to fall into a 'trap' and 'trap' others that are equally oblivious. This would preceed the possibility of being 'hunted down like a rabbit'.
Odd analogy, true dat. Are you referring to the exceptional odds that it actually took for life on earth to begin? Whereupon cosmologists/astrophysicists thought that it may very well require a creator to explain the stunning odds. That is until they realized the overwhelming size of the universe and concluded that there must be lots of planets with life on them as well. Ergo, although the odds are vast with respect to life forming on Earth, this easily falls in the statistical realm of possibilities. (the odds for earth existing is the starter of course, complex life evolving ['here we are'] is so much more). What can I say, I'm bored...lol |

Also, there's the matter of how there's a 100% chance that sentient life will have emerged preceding any discussion by sentient beings about the chances of sentient life having emerged. Coupled with the assumption that we don't have a limited supply of time, it's not only probable, but inevitable that things would eventually turn out the way they did.
PS: Determinism is a terrible philosophy when it comes to STDs. You might want to trust that you were predetermined to accept the false notion of free will in practicing safe sex in the future. |
