Whats the procedure for extending the visa? How early should I go to extend? A month, two weeks, a week before it expires?

I did my extension last month, and had to wait 20 minutes while they added a note to the back of my card. Basically had to buy a stamp, fill out the form, take a number, easy peasy.

Did you have to bring any documents with ya? It was that easy? And I was getting paranoid a bit about it. Did you do it in Seoul or out in the sticks?

Yeah but that would make perfect logical sense. I had to return with all the documents I needed originally, to renew my F2-1.

As always there are no set rules at immigration, it's best to come prepared to save youself headaches.

Chill Alex!
