I didn't watch the game. Woke up and saw the score. Did Canada give the game away, or is the US team good this year?

Canada outshot the US 43-21 but they have great goaltending (Ryan Miller). Martin Brodeur was dreadful in net for Canada. I'm pretty sure that he has played his last international game.

A disappointment. For 6 billion CAD the very least we can ask for is a clean run of wins in mens hockey.

From what i've read, the U.S did play well with good goal tending. I'm sad with Canada's loss, though I am plaesed with the U.S winning this game as it makes things interesting for the finals and that hockey will get an extra boost in the U.S. I also read the the U.S. coach said that Canada is the better team. You can't win them all.

Best of luck to both teams.

Here's some trash talk in response to what the author thinks is Canadian trash talk:

Has "Own the Podium" been the "problem"?

Dammit. Damn.

I'm not nationalistic. I've voted with my feet. But once every 4 years I demand that Canada beat the USA in Olympic hockey.

I don't know a lot about ice hockey(I am amazing at it on the xbox though) but isn't it way too over dependent on the goalie? Seems like Canada dominated this game except for one guy.

Yeah, that's a fair criticism.
