So, I got a two-part gift for my director. An Olympics toque and some smoked salmon. Are those good?

Other than the two-hands thing, what's etiquette for giving it to her? Do I just say "hey, look I got ya something" and hand it to her? A little help, please.

Get her some cream cheese and bread to go with the salmon, and tell her it is a famous sandwich from your country, and you wanted to share some of your culture with her, because they have been sharing theirs.

Also, get some outrageously wasteful wrapping. Even a gift bag. If you're green, go to a dollar store and get a cheap tote bag.

!!! Whatever you get your director she'll love, because you decided to do something nice for her. I get my co-teachers things randomly because they are nice to me and geniunely good people. My gifts were a pencil/pen holder, nail polish, I even got them green tea cookies once for the whole teachers lounge. Mandarin oranges are always a hit too. So are pears.

But awesome you're getting gifts. That's really nice of you. Smile

Shhh. Don't tell anybody that the toque was free swag given to me while walking around the Olympic pavilions in Vancouver. The salmon I bought.

But yes, I think it's a nice gesture.

I'm thinking about giving her my suitcase full of spam. It was an unopened gift from 12 months ago.

I'll even give it to her using both hands.
