I'm ordering some books from Amazon- if the total is about US $130 will I be okay to not pay duties? Should I try to get it at $100 or under? Or is up to $150 generally okay? Thanks! |

Do you have a link or sth to verify this? Good news, if true! |

I ordered two DVD box sets recently. The order total was $148. I had to pay duty upon receipt. |

Found the info here: http://english.customs.go.kr/
Go to "What Can I Bring In?" and then "Shopping on the Internet" |

I wasn't thinking about this when I placed an order for a book and 3 accompanying CD's. The total was $86.00 (for everything including shipping).
Is it safe to assume the company mailing the order will declare a value on the package and it will sail through customs without more fees here and without a big delay? My concern is that they company won't put how much the package is worth on the outside of the box?
Any thoughts? |
