I have quite a few friends back home that were adopted and are interested in finding their families.
What all is needed to get the process started? |

Speaking as someone who met her biological father last year- a thick skin, a willingness to risk finding that they're jerks and some details about the exact date and location of their birth, if they can't get the names involved. My adoption process was very, very open, so I don't know much about finding records and such. This looks like some good info though: http://www.freeprf.com/birth_parents.html
I was pretty lucky- I found a huge family all eager to meet me, with the exception of a half sister who hates me on principle. Meeting them for the first time was still terrifying though. |

yea, the teachers that I met here have all told me that the adoption agencies fed their parents bs stories to hurriedly get them adopted
some were told their father was a drunk, or that their mother was a prostitute, none of those were even remotely true
adopted koreans people, not just adopted in general... |
