What are good grains to eat? I always thought it was whole grains. Enlighten me, oh Senior one!

Until not that long ago, people never ate grains at all. Not until the advent of farming, were grains available in great numbers. Some experts believe our bodies were never meant to eat grains and have only built up a weak tolerance over time. So, basically no grains are good. Though whole grains are better than refined.

I have come to believe that the best diet for people, is one based around fat. With smaller amounts of dairy and fruits, and even smaller amounts of grains and carbs. This is all based on reading I have done and I may well be completely wrong. However, it is fairly obvious that the main stream dieting advice put out by the govt and dietitians is dead wrong. I posted a heap of links during the flame war in this thread. They have some good info.

So, meat, fish, nuts, veggies and fruits, eggs and dairy.... but skip the grains?

Yea. Pretty much. Dairy is iffy. Some people say we weren't meant to eat that either. Think about what cave men ate? Did they chase down wildebeast cows, milk them, then set them free? I think not. It's fatty and delicious though, so I eat a lot of cream and cheese..

This is part of the problem. Don't get your dietary information from the 11 o'clock news! The news is there to sell products, first and fore most. They run with stories about dodgy trials that might have had small samples or other problems. Most of the time, not even citing the study where the info comes from. Then if the study is discredited, do they retract the story? Of course not.

If you want to gain a bump in your IQ, stop watching the news. Mad

"Most medical doctors" stick to the script their given by the AMA and will flat out lie to protect their own business interests. If people wise-up and figure out that they can actually PREVENT life threatening diseases with alternative procedures like colonics, then they won't need all the surgery and drugs that "most medical doctors" specialize in. It's an industry. A business. A racket. Just like any other. It's not in their interest for people to stay healthy.

The mental image was pretty funny..."Gor, u grab bucket, catch cow, get milk, bring here"

Some alternative therapies may actually work. Colonics is not one of them.

Sadly, I tend to agree with you.

Meanwhile, as humans eat all this crap not intended for consumption by our genomes, life expectancies get longer and longer.

Colonics are popular with the vegetarian - new age set because they don't eat properly and their bowels are inflamed. Or rather they don't eat what nature intended them to eat (animal fat).

You can get all the fat you need (to aid digestion) by eating a couple handfuls of peanuts every day.

No need to eat meat. Don't believe me? Give it a try. 2 handfuls of peanuts a day and you're as regular as rain.

Yeah. The Industry, the Medical Racket, is trying to prevent you from blowing water up your own butt. Stick it to them, man! Sit on a sprinkler and show them who is really in charge of your anal passages!

Losing control of your 'anal passages' is no laughing matter!!

The Western Medical Industrial Complex does not tolerate any alternative healing methods, philosophies, strategies or procedures, because it cuts in on their action. It's pure economics, and has little, or nothing, to do with science or medicine.

That's my main point, which you seem to have missed.
