Wouldn't it be smart business to have vinyl sofas? hahahaha
Just use a clorox wipe or some windex. I'm SO opening one of these in NYC when I move back home. Smack in the center of the East Village. |
You're right. It would make a fortune back home. Why aren't there any? There isn't anything illegal about it. They would make MAD cash... |
Setup hidden cameras in the rooms to catch all the action, and then release porn movies for additional profit. It works in Japan. |

| They would never do it in the US because they would become a place to shoot up, leave bodies, and take prostitutes. Just like they don't allow short time stays in hotels in most if not all states. Well, maybe Vegas. Hey, let's open DVD bangs in Vegas! |

Are there actually laws for that in the USA? There aren't that many hourly hotels around, but I didn't know it was a law. |

| I had my DVD room experience, and I must say it was awesome! After 'watching' the movie the girl I was with lost an earring. I found it under under the gross sofa along with 50,000 won and a gold bracelet. Those places are a gold mine. Bring latex gloves. |

There are hourly hotels/motels in California. I think there aren't a lot of them though, because no hotel really wants to be associated with prostitution, like The Dolphin Motel.

Great place to stay if you're into fishing, really, just a block away from the wharf.
As for DVD Bangs, man...those doors don't even lock! And usually there's a strip of window that isn't blacked out. Anyone can see what you're up to. Exhibitionism I guess. |

Not to be crude, but this could be why you see so many girls wearing skirts when they go there... |

There are no dvd bangs in itaewon proper. |
Why is that? Think it would be prime for sleazy one night stands. |

IS THAT WHAT THOSE ARE?!
When I was living in China, a friend and I stumbled into a building on a burning hot day and came across a "theater". We were led into a room with a giant TV with hundreds of movies to choose from. I thought it was freakin' awesome because it was like having my own private theater but found it strange that there was a sofabed.
Fastforward a few years--I was walking around Seoul and saw another one of these places and I excitedly grabbed my Korean friend and yelled, "I LOVE THESE THINGS!". She looked a bit surprised but followed me in. We ended up watching blood diamond and drank free grape sodas the people working there gave us. I was engaged in the movie the whole time but she just had this confused look on her face throughout the movie. As we were leaving, I said, "That was a great movie!" and everyone just stared at me.
Hm... it all kind of makes sense now. |

There is (was) a DVD방 near the itaewon subway station. I think it's out of exit 1 and then take a right up one of the alleys, but I'm not sure. Other more Korean areas have a lot more.
You can just go to a DVD and watch a movie. But let's face it, a guy and a girl alone in a dark room. Nature takes it course most of the time. |
