| I just arrived in Korea last night in Chungcheonnam supposebly 1 hour from Cheonen where the new prison is to be located. The English newspaper given to me on the plane had the foreigner prison story in it which I thought was rather silly. I went for a quite interesting walk today and couldn't help myself noticing a blue and white goverment looking over head road sign in the middle of town, "Probation Office." Why does some of the only English wordage need to tell us where the local probation office is located? Do they have foreigners on probation here? I am asking, because there is tons and tons of stuff all over not translated while this sticks out like a sore thumb as if foreigners are being warned by someone in office. |
