Having a root canal done right now and the doctor is only giving me naproxen sodium.
Anyone know what's out there? |

not sure about over the counter meds, but go to the international clinic in itaewon (02-709-9158) and tell dr. kim your problem. im sure he'll prescribe you something stronger. |

Good advice. Others may want to know about this place, too. Here's a link-

Go to a clinic and tell them you have a cough...
When I had the flu the good Dr. put me on a 5 day supply of oxycontin (along with a handful of other pills, one for each of my symptoms, lol) |

The strong OTC pain meds I've found is Codeine. Had to buy it in Canada because you need a prescription in the States. Not sure if it requires a prescription in Korea |

Uh, I'm talking about Korea, not Canada or the US. |

I agree, don't think it should hurt that much after.
It's before the extraction that it hurts like hell.
I'm sure if you ask for something stronger , he could
write you a prescription. |

Dr. Kim is a good doctor and if you were genuinely experiencing real pain, he will give you something for it. He's been great with my back pain by giving me vicodin and percocet, but closely monitoring me for addiction or abuse. He's cut me off a few times worrying that I was abusing it. With good reason too. That stuff isn't to be toyed with.
I know Dr. Kim would never give someone oxycodone for a cough. That's just egregious. Hell I had to twist my ENT doctor's arm to give me codeine for a real, persistent cough.
Anyway my point is, don't abuse good doctors, because they will be more apprehensive to hand out medicine to people who actually need it when you have bozos faking symptoms to get pain meds. Him being a doctor trained in the US, I'm sure he's plenty knowledgeable about what to look out for. |

Over the counter means I don't need to see a doctor or go to a clinic.
So what, my interpretation anyway, the OP is asking is what is the strongest pain killer one can get at the pharmacy is. |
