Now, if you want to call my comparison a red herring, then how about answering my original question. How would you deal with this issue if it happened to your teenage daughter? Her clothes ripped off, she is threatened with violence, she is forced to pose naked in the cold, and then the photos are put on the internet.

I hadn't heard that their clothes were ripped off. In the reports that I read, they were 'instructed' to show up and a certain time/place and told to strip and perform various goof-ball actions (running down the street and such).

From my understanding, this was all done through same-sex pressure. Not that that makes it much better, but that does play into it somewhat.

I have a daughter here, thank you very much - do you?

And while I'd like the police to protect her, I also know that they are not able to in every circumstance. I plan to give her the guidance to be able to avoid situations like the above.

I'm not saying that the police should never be involved, but you quote from LMB was at the outbreak of this 'scandal'... and that may be misrepresenting his current position.

Oh I know exactly what he said.

Mind quoting his statements in Korean, then?

Good response, CC.

Someone apparently found an issue he thought everyone was supposed to agree on, and so he wanted to be lead cheerleader for the morally righteous.

A clue to motivation might be found here:

Simple request; you said you know exactly what LMB said... and all along I've asked you what exactly that was. If you're refusing to do it, fine. This conversation can't really proceed without it. But I'm not sure why you're keeping it such a secret. If you know it exactly, why not just post it up? I mean, people that make claims on here are regularly asked to provide some sort of evidence to back them up - why are you above that?

I'm not above it so much as just can't be bothered doing it for you. Can't you understand that? Maybe saying it a third time? I CAN'T BE BOTHERED. Did you get that? Don't tell me it's my responsibility to hold your hand.
Normally, I would have no problem spending the extra 20 minutes it takes to find the article, and type out the translation. But, I already translated it for homework, and discussed it Friday morning in Korean class.

I did my homework. Now, you do yours. You're a grown man, with years in Korea and a Korean wife, and you are bitching and moaning for me to prove something to you?

It's no secret. It's out there for you. Waiting for you. Just go find it. I'm not your teacher, or your translator. You have a computer. You have fingers, now quit being such a crybaby and look it up yourself.

Yes. Right. Gimme a "C". The location quote was from yet another news story. Now, excuse me while I go relax at your jjimjillbang where everyone is all basking in nakedness.

blah, blah, blah.

You've said something, yet still refuse to back it up.

It's not about me, this is about YOUR assertion.

I can come on here and make all the assertions I want... but to blame and attack someone because they asked for sourcing - that's weak.

I asked you for a quote to back up your assertions. This is really nothing new on this site.

Saying that I am bitching and moaning is a misrepresentation of my posts.

I've asked a number of times, so I'll ask again; If you claim to know EXACTLY wnat LMB has said on this subject, how about posting it up here?
