[Real Reality]

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Sunday it will give financial support to parents raising their third child, starting tomorrow, in a bid to help boost the ever-falling birthrate. Officials said the city government will fully cover the childcare expenses for the third child, which may cost up to 362,000 won.

Only parents with more than three children can apply for this aid. Application forms can be obtained at any nursing facility in Seoul or can be downloaded at the city's Web site, www.seoul.go.kr. The Kyonggi provincial government is also considering providing 200,000 won to 300,000 won per month to families that have a third child to encourage people to have more children.

Can good childcare be provided for 362,000 won in Seoul? Can the money be used for cosmetic surgery? Can the money be used to fly to another country to have a baby (maybe 4th child)? Can the money be used to send one of the other children abroad?

Do the really need to squeeze any more people in here. Look at Norway, the only have a few million people and they are doing well enough.
