I'm planning to head to Namhae Island and I've got a few questions I hope you can help me with. I'm going by public transportation.
1) Food and Accommodation: I'd like to stay at a cheap hotel/minbak type of place. On my map, the only town on the island is Namhae, so I'm wondering if there are any other places to stay. I've heard the beach on the south coast at Sangju is pretty nice, but are there any cheap hotels there?
2) I'd like to do some hiking. Do any of you have any favourite spots on the island?
If you've got any other tips or suggestions, I'm all ears.

Sangju is a nice spot. There are plenty of cheap mimbaks 30,000 or 40,000.
Geumsan is a nice hike near Sangju. You can see it from the beach. From Namhae-Eup you can hike Mangunsan which is nice as well. Enjoy. |
