Hi.

I have just arrived in Seoul and would love to take some lessons to learn Korean. Im happy to do this either formally (by taking a regular lesson) or informally by meeting with a bunch of koreans in a bar to learn their language (and, as a trade of teach them english at the same time... this is legal right as your not taking money to 'teach' english, as your also learning from them at the same time?).

Either way, i understand you can get free Korean lessons and would love to start. I work untill 6 m,w,f and 5 t,t so it would have to be evening classes. My tube stop is Incon so close to there would obviously be nice.

Im sure iv seen topics like this before, but i cant seem to find them for toffy and the site search function only makes things worse so either advice in this thread, or a link to a similar one would be great.

Chris.

The Korean Foundation Cultural Centre offers free evening classes. They're located near City Hall.

That City hall thing looks great, but it seems we've just missed the deadline to register for the march classes.

Hey where was that website that listed free Korean lessons by district, or 구?

Anyone know what I'm talking about? It was a government program to offer free Korean classes, I think just once a week....or maybe each 구 was different.

Anyway, I went to mine in Gangdong-gu over a year ago and have since studied at Sogang through level 3, but I'd like to go back to the free class and study privately for a semester now.

If you have any info on this please let me know, I've been wondering about it!

Not sure about a government program but a popular site is
http://www.hanlingo.com

It's for language exchange.
