Hello everybody. I recently bought a desktop computer and it came with 9GB 1066MHz DDR3 RAM. It consists of 3 2GB sticks and 3 1GB sticks. I'm not sure what brand it is. Anyway, I don't need 9GB. Actually, I think 3GB would be fine. Therefore, I will sell either 3x2GB for 150,000 or 3x1GB for 75,000. I don't really care which I end up with because either is enough for me . I'm just selling this to lower the cost of the computer! I'm trying to make it as cheap as possible! I looked on gmarket and 3x2GB sets were going for around 210,000 won and 3x1GB were going for around 120,000 won. I think my price is fair. After all, it may be used, but it works, and how often does RAM break?
I live in Yeokgok, which is in Bucheon City (just outside Seoul). I am only interested in doing face to face transactions, but can travel anywhere in Seoul. You can PM me or send me an e-mail at [email protected] if you are interested in the card. Thanks for looking! |

One interested buyer contacted me and basically said that the RAM wasn't worth much of anything and I should lower my price. To lower the price would drop the selling price of the RAM below the opportunity cost of selling it. As a result, the RAM is no longer for sale |

The opportunity cost in this case, is what I would have to give up in order to sell the RAM. For me, the opportunity cost of selling the RAM is having a slightly slower computer. It was worth it to me to sell the 6GB for 150,000, but it isn't worth it to sell it for less than that. That is, the income I would receive would be worth less than the value of having the RAM in my computer.
The 3x1GB, however, isn't really doing much for my computer. I'm still willing to sell that, and willing to accept lower offers than 75,000 won. |
