the australians are in new zealand at the moment. the second 20/20 was on today and was an absolute cracker of a game!
anyone see it?
we smoked the kiwis on the first game and people thought that the aussies would continue their recent domination and so did i. people were talking whitewashes; saying that new zealand were not in the same class as australia. i thought that as well.
but new zealand showed up today. they really came to play. australia were stunned, and it was us that cracked in the end.
it was a tied game after 430 odd runs were scored in 40 overs and the kiwis beat us in the over of extra time!
bugger!
new zealand will be absolutely jumping out of their skins. they played at a level that noone thought they could get anywhere near.
could be a really interesting series. |

I'm watching the first one-dayer right now. Oz scored 275 and NZ is 92/2 chasing. McCullum was just out; played on to the champagne man.
P.S. OP, who is Noone? |

I'm an Englishman by way of Ireland and the States and follow cricket very sporadically....I try to glean the occasional headline to share with my Dad who doesn't believe in the Internets. This'll gimme something to diminish the length of the awkward pauses. Sounds like the Kiwis have given you something to play for. |
