What music, if any do you play after setting the kids a task? I find that the particularly shy kids won't talk to each other even in groups. Playing something very low key and unobtrusive seems to give them enough cover to actually talk and discuss the exercise (of course the may just be gossipping).

Anyone have music suggestions? I'm thinking piano, panpipes, Bloodduster...

Traditional Korean music, played on that lute-like instrument whose name I can't recall at the moment, always worked well for me.

At my old job I also played classical guitar and piano pieces, as well as soft, sleepy folk music.

Low to medium volume K-pop. They (and I) love it, so it makes them happy and willing to work on stuff that they might not work as well if it was dead silent.
