You hagwon folk will probably tell me to harden the f%^k up. But, do any PS folk have 6 classes scheduled for one day? My new schedule has Friday fully booked up. Plus, I usually do "Extra curricular" classes, so that means I would be doing 7 classes from 8.00 till 3.30. One of them is Teachers' class.

My entire schedule sucks across the board. Period 1 classes every day. 4 out of 5 4th period classes. Monday is 3 classes.

unusual, but "staggered" days can sometimes occur.

Last year I had a less than 22 hour a week workload which usually resulted in most of my days having 3 or 4 classes. However, because one of my coteachers wanted to shuffle around the schedule, it resulted in me having only one class one day of the week and either 5 or 6 on Friday. I hated that with a passion, especially given it was a Friday.

I feel for you. Hope they're paying you decent bank for all the extra classes though. (above 22) during the regular school day.

I have two days in which I have 6 classes scheduled, Tuesday and Friday. On Tuesday I also have two afterschool classes and on Friday I have one. So on Tuesday, that's 8 classes. Thursdays, I hae 5 classes, plus 2 afterschool classes. My only good day is Wednesday, 2 classes only and no afterschool classes.

All in all, a lot different from last semester, but at least I'll be making more money with the afterschool classes.

At least one public school person's going to tell you the same. You'll get one heavily-scheduled day every week most likely because you don't work Saturdays. That means the classes you would've been teaching on Saturday mornings, if you were under the same work day requirements as a Korean teacher, must be moved into the regular weekday schedules.

Some days are heavy and some days are light. That's just how PS works. Get used to it.

My Wednesday schedule last year sucked! 8:10 start at the gate, special "Gate English" thing, periods 1-4, eat lunch, duty in English Zone, fifth period, 20 min break 1 hour parents class, then break (thankfully) till home time.

Thursday only two classes.

So far this year 5/4/4/2/2. Plus English Zone duty in lunch break. It'll get bulked up with extra classes/activities/duties once they decide on what they'll have us do this year.

My worst was between March and May, when I did two after school, plus teachers class on Thursday. And teacher's class was two hours. So ten class hours total.

Now it's 5-4-4-4-5, which is pretty good. I wouldn't mind a 4-3-2-3-4 like some country school folk that I know, though Smile

Last year it was 4-5-5-3-3. Then two months before the end of the year it became 4-5-3-3-3. About half of those are extra-curricular classes (small school)

This year the schedule isn't finalized yet, and my extra-curricular classes haven't been planned so it's 1-2-2-3-4 for the week. Next week might be different...we'll see.

Last year I was 4,3,5,4,4.

This year it's 3,4,4,4,6. It's only one more class, I guess it could be worse.

EDIT: Good grief. 25 phhb critical errors so far. Rolling Eyes

1, 4, 4, 6, 5...both last year and this year. The schedule remains the same. Also have a 'developing class' on Friday AND afterschool program. Eh...it happens.

2 days of 8 classes, 2 days of 6 classes, and one day of 4. If I wanted to I can teach 8 classes everyday, but I like to have my afternoon tea time Smile Six a day isn't bad.

How's that OT gonna work out?

My school has decided to double grade 5 and 6 classes, so they get taught for 4 lessons a week! WTH?
