Hello,
I'm currently planning a move from Busan to Seoul and am doing some apartment hunting, however the English speaking estate agents are not very helpful and my Korean whilst ok is not good enough. So, we are going to do Jeonsae which doesn't leave many options for Seoul is spectacularly expensive compared to Busan.
Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone have a recommendation for an estate agents, or any advice on how to get this done??? |

okay, he's the only agent i know that really covers everywhere in seoul, so i don't have much advice for you other than to visit the area you want to live in and just doyour best to speak korean (you might be surprised at how far you can get with only limited korean?) with the real estate agents there.
maybe someone else has a better idea though?

Jeez, there are some nice places on that site, but most of them are super expensive! The "cheap" places are $1,500 a month in rent?! Yeesh. Use that site, but try to scope out some places at the local 부동산, too. That way, I'm sure you'd be able to find a place you like with much cheaper rent. |

| I second one for Gilbert...he was super helpful for me. He could explain the lease in detail. We found an apartment in one afternoon. I told him exactly what I wanted and that's what he found. |

Hey, if your still looking for a place in seoul, there's a site called www.eslbabble.com that has a section for apartments. There's not a whole lot, but there was a recent post.

| Thanks for all the info - there's a lot to think about. My wife and I are leaning towards the Jeonsae arrangement because monthly rent is pretty high and will make it WAY harder to actually save money. We've been up a few times, the main problem with checking the estate agents in person is that we both live and work just now in Busan, so it's hard to be available. Anyways, thanks a lot for the help. This weekend will be a descision making one!^^* |
