"Korea has four seasons."
"There are four seasons in Korea."
etc.
Pffft, we Canadians have a fifth season -- hockey season. Beat that. |

In my case this statement is especially annoying. I majored in Korean Studies, have lived in Korea for four years and conducted field research for my BA and MA theses while I was there. Yup, I know nothing about Korean culture. Thank you for pointing that out, Mr Kim. *^^* (Nah, it's not that bad. I'm just joking!)
What I really don't want to hear is either of these, depending on the situation:
I'm pregnant and you are the father!
or
I'm pregnant and you are not the father! |

"You like gimchi (or insert any other traditional Korean item)! You must be Korean."
Funny, this doesn't work when you insert K-girls. |

I'm sorry, it's not possible (even though I asked you 10 times before, made a booking for a flight, and now you're telling me it's not possible 1 week before flying??)
I have a promise.
I need to prepare a cake/a car/ a pencil etc. etc.
I need to make a plan.
Actually,..........
Balli-wah (I heard this yelled out at Hong Kong airport by a 10 year old to his family so they could be first in line with 30 mins still to go before check in)
I think they need to change some textbook language, it just doesn't sound natural at all. |
