1. Queen's Bite - they make AWESOME Philly Cheesesteaks. I have been there probably 10 times and it doesn't disappoint. Hard for me to describe how to get there, if you go out exit 5 of Hongik Univ., and walk towards the onto that main busy street with all the shops on both sides, make a right, keep walking for about 3-4 minutes. It's past the tourism booth, so you have to cross one small street, it's not far after that on the left side. Here's a link someone wrote with a review,

http://www.seoulstyle.com/restaurants.php?aid=0000000052

it has the address in Hangul if you can read it. For 4,500 won they have a very delicious sandwich which has a very different taste than ones you are probably used to having.

2. Goulash and Soup - this place just opened up. All you can get there is goulash, bread and coffee. Though it's limited, the soup is phenomenal, really one of the best soup's I've had. A nice sized hot roll is served with it too. It's only 2,500 won as well. Very cheap price for a nice little snack. It's right across from the Hongdae park, around the corner in a small alley from the Ho Bar that's there (Ho Bar 2).

Enjoy.

If he/she was a marketing executive I'm sure his/her directions would've been A LOT better than that. I have no idea where he/she's talking about...."walk towards that main busy street with all the shops on both sides"...??!! Oh. that one Wink

Just add the place on WIKIMAPIA.ORG and place the link here, then we can all see where you're talking about.

'Wikimapia.org' people. Remember it.

Thank you for the recommendation. This sounds super appealing and I will definitely give it a try.

It would be cool if we could get a group together on Dave's interested in trying different restaurants.

Nice website, can't find it though. The address is in the link I posted on the image of the business card but it's in Hangul. Only landmark I know by there is the big tourist booth.

If you go out exit 5, make a left, then a right, you're on a long street which is mostly blocked off for shops but only some cars go down it. It's without a doubt the busiest street in Hongdae for businesses and people on the weekends or at night. Walk a few hundred meters, you pass the tourist booth, cross the street and it's not far up on the left. I think I remember walking past the Hello Kitty Cafe as well.

It's worth checking out.

Ok, MUCH more coherent, but definitely not the one I thought you had in mind. Might give it a try sometime.
