You know that you'll have to make up that snow day during the holidays, don't you?

Why would a private school take away children's vacation days to make up for it during the holidays? No, a hagwon is not going to do that. It will screw up family vacation plans and everything.

I was really happy to get the day off yesterday too because wednesday suck and are really long for me.

They don't take anything away. They offer the make-up class because the parents paid for it already. Whether or not every student shows up or not doesn't matter. You still have to teach.

This isn't the practice at all private schools, but every teacher in Seoul I know had to make up classes on the weekend after that last big storm a month ago.
