According to the HiKorea website, Immigration now offers 5 different types of F2 Visas.
The F2-5 Visa is for someone who has either an E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, E-5 or E-7 Visa and has had a domestic residence of over 5 years of continous stay in the Republic of Korea
If you have at any time left Korea on a Visa run, your 5 year residency clock gets reset. Transfering your E-2 visa to another school or Academy WILL NOT affect your 5 year residency requirement.
