Weaker forums would make alliances. It would be smart for us to start courting allies now while peace still exists. We also need to consider stock pilling useful resources.
We will not win this war by our looks and numbers alone! We must as ruthless as Mongol horde, and as disciplined as a roman legion. |

| Current Events is the Japan to Off Topic's Korea. If another, larger forum -- such as General or Job Related -- didn't intervene, Current Events would quickly conquer Off Topic, and under the reign of Current Events, quality and depth of discussion would quickly rise to levels never before seen in this tragic backwater forum. When one day Off Topic was liberated, Current Events and Off Topic would spend the next few decades arguing about which side was the true owner of the Technology Forum, with Off Topic being loudly fanatical about it while Current Events made its case with calm, self-assured precision. |

Current event doesn't have the long term focus needed to sustain an empire. Our unpredictable nature in Off topic would be your doom. You wouldn't know where we were or how we were coming at you. Your old think would fall before us like so many stalks of wheat. |

I agree, which is why I included a description of what would happen after your inevitable liberation occured. |

Don't dignify the offies with direct responses.
They're unclean. |

You sound like the Chinese before Genghis erected the white tent before their city. The they would surrender before sundown so the red tent would not be raised.
The strong do as they wish while the weak suffer as they must. |

Fox is right. Although those of us in Current Events fight amongst ourselves when left alone, when roused and united we would dominate discussions here with tireless linking, rigorous argumentation, and relentless volume.
And we are so damned proud. It would not occur to us that you were not worth the effort. |

Today, FAQ only does expositions on where to find birth control..... yyyeeeaaahhh..... a real killer there. |
No, it's so much more! Check it out (especially newbies who post questions that have been well-covered there and elsewhere.)
