Any hints or ideas about where to look for cheap tickets to India? I've found as low as $399 one way to Delhi. |

will they let you on the plane or even issue you a visa without and onward/return ticket?
i've been looking at 1 year open ended tickets from seoul to delhi in march. japan air has one with one 14 day layover in tokyo allowed for around 800,000. thai air has a 1 year open ended with 2 no time limit layovers in bangkok for about 1,450.
I've read that kingfisher airlines flies from bangkok to india round trip for less than 500,000. |

Just got back from there on Air India.
800,000 RT Seoul to Delhi. Plus 140,000 Visa fee.
Would not go again on Air India though.
Plane from Seoul was teeny-tiny and about 25 years old.
The interior of the plane was literally falling apart. It does, however, prepare you for the current state of things in India! |

ha, sounds like an adventure.
@slothrop: they will let you into the country with a one-way ticket.
I'm not sure what I'll be doing after a couple months in India, so I guess I'll just go with the $399 ticket |
