Go to www.korail.com . there is an English function button at the top. Got to online bookings and you will be able to search for train times, how long it takes and what the cost is. |

A few things to note when taking the train:
1. If you don't like facing the opposite way to the way the train is headed, (ie sitting backwards) ask the person at the counter for a seat facing forward.
2. If you are travelling by yourself, then it may be worth paying a few more pesos for a single seat in business/first class (its about 15,000 won more).
3. The trip takes about 3 hours and they have a car now which they are coining as their "theatre" car (I think thats what they call it). Shows movies all the way to Seoul - not sure if they have subtitles.
Have a nice trip! |

about 50,000 won (one way - though I think it's a bit cheaper than double if you do two ways) and 3 hours give or take |

it's 50,000 one way but if you have 3 people it is slightly cheaper to buy a table, even without the 4 people. A table is 129,000 for a one way. Something to keep in mind as well when traveling. |

You gotta by the table seat on the korean site, and I forgot which one the table seating is in Korean. I thought I saw another thread about it though. |

The middle seats on any economy class car are what you are looking for. I think the seat numbers are 8 and 9 or 9 and 10 (but don't quote me on that) I am pretty sure you can't book these particular seats online. Just go to the counter at the train station and tell the person behind the counter that you want the middle seats because there are four of you. |

I just bought these seats for the first time and they are a great deal. They are called 동반석 in Korean. For 4 seats it was about 60,000won cheaper than buying individual seats. Yes, there is another thread about this floating around...thats where I learned this.
If you dont live near one of the train station, all of the transfer stations outside of the city center have a train ticket window as well. The best way to find out where the one nearest you is to call 02-1330. Tell them the transfer station that you want to use and they will tell you more of an approximation of where the window will be located.
We also had to get one 'movie' ticket for the way back because there werent enough standard seats on the way back. This ticket was about 9,000won more than the standard price.
These tables seats really are a great deal. They do sell out fairly quickly so you have to be sure to get them in advance.
Happy Travles! |

It takes 3 hours. 1 hour to Daegu, 1 hour to Daejon and one hour to Seoul. Between Busan and Daegu it doesn't move any faster than a regular express train. I don't remember how much it costs exactly. The slowest train costs around 14000 Won and takes only 5 and a half hours and is pretty nice actually. |
