|
My employer moved me into a new apartment halfway through my year contract. Anybody know the procedure for letting immigration know about it? My old address is on my alien card, etc. The immigration website was, well, not too helpful and I'd love to know what exactly I have to prepare before I make a trip to the office. Cheers. |

Call 1345 (from a Seoul landline) or 02-1345 from a cell. It's the immigration hotline. |

I changed places at re-contracting time. When I went Immigration for my visa renewal I told them about the new address and they wrote it on the back of my ARC. That was it. |

when did you move? You're supposed to tell them within 14 days of moving or you get a fine.......so if you're over that and they ask just say you just moved. Fortunately though they don't always ask (just hand you the address form to fill in). |

The procedure is simple.
Go to immigration.
Fill in a form.
Present the form with your ARC.
Wait 10 minutes for them to enter in into the computer and indicate the change on your ARC.
Leave.
There is no fee for the service. |

ttompatz said it. Go in and change. DO it soon then later.. as people comment you could get fined!
When you go in - do not tell them how late you are! Just do it! |
