It may sound like another myth of a lost tribe of Israel, but British scientists have carried out DNA tests which have confirmed their Semitic origin.
Their oral traditions claim that their ancestors were Jews who fled the Holy Land about 2,500 years ago.

Zimbabwe displays "Ark of covenant" replica
The "ngoma lungundu" belongs to the Lemba people - black Africans who claim Jewish ancestry.
They say the vessel was built almost 700 years ago from the remains of the original Ark, which the Bible says was used to store Moses' 10 Commandments.
Tudor Parfitt, who rediscovered the artefact three years ago, told the BBC he believed it was the oldest wooden object ever found in sub-Saharan Africa.

The "A"IPAC/Neocon retardation would be wonderful if it found a way to become totally non-existent.
Hopefully (if you care about the "imperfect" U.S.), we're finally maybe gonna get a little bit somewhere closer to that position where Americans could finally, in a pinch, actually give a crap about our own collective future.

But let me straighten this out. You're upset that some British scientists found genetic similarity between an ancient Judean tribe and some Zimbabweans?
Are you certain that this is contributing to America's alleged indiscretions in foreign relations funding?

Yeah I was dissapointed with Cannif's comments as well, I had thought he/she was a bit more interesting on here, I expected better than lashing out at elements of internal US politics.
I had thought it was an interesting thing to post. This Sub-saharan african tribe even have "a sacred prayer language which is a mixture of Hebrew and Arabic".
But increasingly on dave's there seems to be a lack of intelligent debate. Oh well never mind.  |

Well, Nautilus, I've gotta give Cannif his fair share of liquor allowance. I hardly post here sober myself.
That said, the lost Israeli tribe is pretty old news. Preliminary DNA tests confirmed it years ago. It's all ready been covered by all the main "documentary" channels, etc.
So for the most part I'm suspicious of any new findings. There is money in it now. Once the first tourist bus arrives there will be arcs a'plenty 
As I understand it, an invitation has been opened by Israel for them to "return." I don't know if many/any have accepted yet. |

Yeah, I've found that most people (in the real world) actually prefer the three-sheets me over the sober/brooding/pissy one.
