Hi everyone,
I am very new here and leaving very, very soon (April 16).... feeling a bit overwhelmed!
Just today I was informed there is a new requirement for people teaching in Korea (I am going to Jeollanam-do, if that is pertinent) - it is to complete an online, 15hr course on "Teaching English in Korea" with a completion date of 10 days (1.5hrs/day pacing).
Has anyone else heard of this? |

yes, it is true. I'm currently completing the course. It's just for public school teachers. If you are coming here for the first time, then it will be helpful, if you've been here before...well, let's just say I get my lessons planned while listening to it. Don't sweat it though, it's just 15 30 min. videos with some questions afterwards to check and see if you paid attention. There's also a test at the end of it, but I've not gotten to that part yet. If it is your first time in Korea, this will be a good breakdown of all the information you'd pick up anyway. it's just in 10 days instead of a whole year of gleaning. Enjoy!  |
