FREE BOOK EXCHANGE !!!

There is a free book exchange in downtown Seoul once a month on the
2nd SUNDAY. You can bring as many or as few books as you like and take as many as you want. We have a large selection but mostly novels - biographies and histories are in short supply. We'd love to see more of these genres.

By a special request we'll add DVD's if people want to exchange these. Sounds like a good idea so bring them along and see if others like your selections.

The next exchange will take place SEPTEMBER 12th from 2 to 4 pm. Please tell all your friends, co-workers, strangers, enemies - we don't care who comes so long as they bring a fresh supply of FREE reading material.

Directions follow:

Get off at City Hall Subway, take the exit leading to the British Embassy and walk past the first street on the left and take the 2nd. Walk up with the Church on your left and you'll see a driveway to a car park on the right. We are the next building on the right. You'll see a neon sign between the windows for LTRC. Go in and take the stairs at the back on the right - go up one flight and follow the noise around to the right.

If you are coming from the Gwanghwamun subway or the bus stops near the Sejong Cultural Centre or the American Embassy go to the Koreana Hotel, pass it and the driveway to their car parking and then take the lst street on the right and follow the directions as above.

I'll look forward to seeing you all if you can make it.

If you can't make this month but would like an email reminder of future events please pm me with your email address and I'll add you to the mailing list.

made an announcement until Monday

Thankyou for the suggestion RudyFlyer. I have added it to the post and we'll see if people are interested. Since you have suggested it I hope you'll be there to start it off with a nice selection of DVD's for us.
Hope we'll see you there anyway.

D'oh! - just missed it. See me there next time.

On a note of what else could be shared, I've got tonnes of MP3s and movies on my laptop. I'd be happy to do a direct swap with people (I'm a geek who knows how to network) - Clearly the sharing of copyright material is VERY NAUGHTY and I would NEVER condone such actions. Obviously the 35GB of music and the 80GB of movies I have is lawfully obtained and I wouldn't dream of sharing that, as that would be illegal. Yeah.

/end of legal ass-covering Wink

Anyone interested?

I hope that we will see everyone that has shown an interest. The number of books is increasing again as is the selection - we don't have 10 of every title - and I'd love to see some of them go to a good home for a holiday.

Please spread the word and maybe put up a notice in your staff rooms or the local bars or supermarkets if they'll let you so we can spread the word out into the more general community.

I am interested in attending the September book exchange and was wondering if it would be in the same place at the same time. Thanks!
