I found something that I thought was amazing yesterday, so I thought I'd post. There's a service sipgate.com (or sipgate.co.uk) that gives you a free phone number in the states or the UK. You can set up your iphone or droid (using sipdroid app) to receive calls on the number for free. At least on the android, it integrates into your contact book, keeping everything nice and tidy. Call quality is generally better than skype, and on the droid you can set it up to never use your 3G plan, if you want. Outgoing calls to the states are 1.9 cents/min. I don't know how much I'll use it, but I liked it.

To set up the service, you have to send a text to somebody in country. I'm not sure how much google voice can do for you w/ a Korean number, but until I figure it out I'm pretty happy with this.
