Ulsan apparently used to be pretty bad, but now it's quite fun, depending on where you work. Anywhere in the main area of the city is great with plenty of restaurants, hofs, bars, etc. You'll meet plenty of Koreans since the foreign population isn't as large as Seoul or Busan. It's also become much more beautiful due to landscaping around the entire river, plus Grand Park.
On the downside, it's smaller than Busan or Seoul and if you like to make foreign food on your own it will be more difficult. And if you get placed somwhere outside of the main city you will go broke from spending money on taxis. |
