I've been browsing around on the Korean Tax website (http://www.nts.go.kr/eng/) trying to figure out how to go about with the above, but my accounting skills are failing me Sad Here's the scenario...

I'm a South African citizen at a Hagwon paying 3.3% income tax. Now I've managed to figure out that you can deduct medical expenses from this amount. I've had a kidney issue this year which kept me in the hospital for three weeks and cost more than 3% of my income (which I manage to figure out was a requirement).

This is a really long shot, but are there any potential tax experts out there that know how I would go about deducting this amount from my tax liability? Help a clueless waegug out here would ya Wink

Now I'm not a tax expert, but your employer is supposed to take care of your year end tax settlement/return, so you should just give him the bill and let him deal with it.

I gave my employer my receipt for my tuition that I paid for my masters. Supposedly I got a deduction, as it's listed on the tax return I got. But I didn't get a return, but I also didn't have to pay anything either.
