The crowd who brought us Band Of Brothers has a new series out called The Pacific. I'm sure you can guess what the subject material will be.

The first episode aired last night. Did anyone see it? Does anyone have a torrent for it? Maybe one will be up later today.

Or don't, because that would be illegal file sharing.

If you have somewhere I can see it in Korea, then fine.

Here is a review.

My good friend Ashton Holmes is in that series. He plays Sidney Phillips.

Episode one was great. Will definitely tune in.

Did anyone else catch the scene with the mutilated soldiers during the trek through the jungle? Did I see what I thought I saw?

What did you see?

I just watched it. It should be great. Judging from the first episode, I don't think it will be as expansive, and cover as much ground as B of B. Though, that may not be a bad thing.

The first battle in this show would've been the worst/most boring battle in B of B. Where they take the heavy field guns in about ep3 of B of B could be one of my favorite battles of the whole show.

It was good to see they humanized the Japanese, at least a little. Though, B of B did a good job of humanizing the Germans, until they got to the concentration cams of course. But fair enough, really.

Looking to the future; I really hope Hanks and co turn their attention to the Eastern Front. 80% of the war was fought there and the world would probably be carved up between the Japanese and the Germans right now, if it weren't for the Russians.

PS. Nice cameo by Hanks in the opening voice over.

I read a review that says the show starts slow but really ramps up in later episodes. This was from a guy who apparently had seen the whole thing.

Dude. There is definitely something in the mouth of that severed head. It ain't pretty.

The only thing more disturbing than what I saw is the fact that I picked up on something like that.
