sometimes I wake up every 2 hours and I am exhausted the next day. Does anyone know of a good sleep clinic in Seoul. Can you tell me the procedure and what to expect. Thank you |

Stop any drinking of coffee, coke, redbull. take time to do things that relax you. Go do a temple saty and ask the monks what meditation style would suit you. If all else fails pm me for a list of people who can help you around the world, or come to see me in Shanghai as i am a Chiropractor that helps many people with sleep problems.
What I don't suggest is short term solutions such as medication.
Making lifestyle changes and dietary changes is the best solution. |

These are some general tips.
First, if you are very overweight you may suffer from sleep apnea. This usually manifests itself with loud snoring and a sudden loss of air.
If you drink caffeine after 3pm or alcohol after 6pm you may sleep lighter or have difficulties going to sleep.
You should exercise regularly but not late in the evening.
Try to avoid eating heavy meals late in the day. For people with sleep issues an easily digested meal (fruit salad for example) around 6pm is best.
It sounds like you're going to sleep ok but waking up during the night. Make sure your bedroom is slightly cold and light and sound free. If you wake up and can't fall asleep move to another room and read (don't watch TV) until you start to doze. Then go back to bed.
A regular meditation routine may help with sleep. Focus your breathing for 10 minutes or so and try to keep your mind focused on some single word or point.
Finally, if you're a guy over 40 and you are waking up to go to the bathroom you may have an enlarged prostate. Not a serious condition and can be solved with a Rx or a herbal supplement. |

I have this issue once in awhile. I'm especially sensitive to noise and light. To rectify this, I avoid caffeine in the evening, eat only simple foods to basically satiate myself if I'm hungry around bedtime, and try to avoid turning on bright lights if I have to get up and use the restroom (such as turning on a light over another part of my room as opposed to the one in the restroom). I also do everything to clear my thoughts if I can't fall back asleep, even listening to some soft music and letting my mind wander into the more ethereal aspects of it until I'm gone. |

Are you in a normal daily routine, eg wake up around a usual time, go to sleep around a usual time, or is it more all over the place? That's my sleeping problem, I need to stick to a pretty close routine otherwise I always gravitate to being awake in the evening hours as I am more of a night person. Usually once every couple of weeks to a month or so I need to stay awake through the night so I am tired enough to immediately drift off at say 10-11pm the next night, sometimes have to do this over 2 or 3 nights till my body clock properly resets but it gets me back in a rhythm for a while. Problem is if I have a big weekend out I can get thrown off this rhythm again pretty easily. |
