CEO of an NGO in the UK. There is life after Korea, thank <insert idol of choice>. Whether there's life after acronyms is debatable. |

Been there, done that. How are you enjoying the self-righteous BS that is spewed forth in such programs?
Advice I would have given you back in September: don't care about grades or what the associate teachers give you as a grade. All that stuff doesn't matter. What matters is getting a job, and right now in Ontario, unless you're supermodel hot or have connections, it is about as likely as winning the lottery.
Good luck, and remember: teaching is something you can do ALL over the world! |

Hence why I am coming back to Korea. Doing my Spec Ed part 1 in the Spring. Then do my Reading Part 1 probably while I am in Korea.
Yeah they still spout the self-righteous stuff and Grades really mean nothing. Although the grades from you AT do sort of matter. Principals may look at them. Most jobs are now on the internet.
If you speak French you will probably have a much better chance at getting a job. |

Hmm, All I know for sure is that I'm going Nepal for a month or so after my contract.
Literally, I have an ambition, and an aim, but so far as any nearby achievable aim, I got nothin'. I go home maybe, sort out the debt collectors on my tail, and that's it.
Not that I even have a home outside of Korea but hey. Vagabondishness is the way forward. |

Working towards public school licensure in a fast track post-graduate MAT program which I started prior. l'll have a school year of student teaching starting in fall and am looking at different cities in which to complete that.
It may be possible to do substituting in the building/district for extra cash.
I'm looking at working for the U.S. Department of Defense on military bases abroad when I finally get certified. |

Many people in Shanghai have moved on from teaching english into other professions but I guess not many teachers do that in Korea. |

Isn't marrying a foreigner in thailand like winning the lotto? I saw a TV show about an event where thai women went to show off their foreign husbands.
Would be nice to own a bar there though. What a comfortable relaxed life style. |
