Hi
I am Maricar. I came to korea a couple of months back to be with my husband. I have a Phd in Inorganic Chemistry and 2 year PostDoctoral Research Experience.
I would like to find a job in Korea, preferably near Suwon. I am willing to work in industry or universities. But I do not know how to go about looking for jobs in Korean companies or universities.
If someone can give me a few pointers on how I should go about looking for positions, I will be grateful.
thanks

If you are looking to be in your specialty
- get a resume and cover letter done up in English AND Korean
- head out to the local universities. Pass it on to the secretary in the department and you may get a few bites.
Try the Samsung research center in southern Seoul (by coex) or the one in Yongtong-dong, yongtong-gu, in Suwon. Take a Korean friend to help you get to the right departments. It will take some footwork to get your resume to the right office in the right building but there is work for you.
(there is one at the AK plaza at Seohyun station in Bundang as well.)
-There is always unrelated work as a hakwon / kindy teacher to kids. The pay is poor but it will keep you busy (I assume you have an F3 visa)
Make a stop at the Seoul help center for foreigners. they have contacts in industry who may be able to help you.
I don't have any websites in English that can help you.
A Korean friend and NAVER are your best bet.
