^ I'd say it's a pretty solid buy at 611,000.

2GB RAM (upgradable to 4GB)
250GB HDD

A CPU and GPU package roughly double the power of the Atom/ION platform......

HDMI out........

W7 Home Premium as opposed to the W7 Starter version in most netbooks...

All packed into 11.6'' and 3.2lbs.....

What's not to like!!

I wonder if the OP would go up to an 11.6'' netbook?

Here's something that has twice the power of all the Atom/ION netbooks but is only 11.6 inches and 3.2lbs (compared to a typical Asus Atom/ION netbook which is 10.1'' and 2.8lbs)

Acer Aspire 1410. It's in the same price range......it will give you a far wider selection of games you're able to run........and it can do 1080p out to a large-screen TV.......as well as faster all-round computing.

I think that's all worth the extra 1.5 inches of size and a few ounces of weight.

This actually looks pretty good. I believe it's in the "ULV" category of notebooks.

This looks ok but for 50 000 more i can pick up the asus 1201n on gmarket http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=177762419 which i think is a more powerful machine from what i am reading

Yes, agreed that it looks good.

Just out of curiosity, does that have an English operating system?

I bought the 1201n and like it quite a bit. When you turn it on for the first time, it asks you to choose between Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English. It said that you can only choose one and it will be permanent. After choosing English, it set up windows 7 in English.

This is an interesting development. Hopefully all new Win7 computers have this option.

Can anyone else support this? I'm about to pull the trigger on a "nettop" but the OS issue is holding me back.
