Hi, not sure if this has been posted or not, but I just moved to Jeonju and I'm looking to find where I can find those plug adapters to fit into the korean sockets. I brought my laptop with me but I can't charge it since I have the american three prongs. Pleaase help if you can. Thanks.

any emart, or hardware store,
Bring your cord and show it to them and point to the korean socket.
easy.
I have one for my lap top, have not had a problem in 3 years, and it cost 1,000 won. But that cheap adapter did blow out my cordless phone from the US.
Or if you need an adapter for any other wesstern cord, you can just oreder one from gmarket, not expensive,

Go to chonbukdae (the University district). At the far end of the main shopping street from the university gate, there's an underpass. DON'T go under this, but turn left and walk down the road (with the sports stadium on your right across the street) and you'll find 4 or 5 computer shops - Like the previous poster suggested, take your existing power cord in and someone there should be able to give you a Korean version. I've done this twice now - once I was charged W6,000 and the second time I was given a cord for free!

I'm only about 10 minutes walking distance from Emart. Do you happen to know exactly where in the store they sell it?

Better yet, bring your laptop. They might even be able to give you a Korean cord to plug into it. Then keep the American cord for when you go back home.
