I know this is extremely optimistic, but I'm going to be applying for the September Uni jobs and would love to get somewhere in Gangwondo. I am aware that there are only half a dozen or so universities in the area but does anyone know any that are likely to be hiring or reguarly hire? Apart from Chuncheon. I'm considering firing off application packs to any uni with an English department and seeing what happens.

I probably won't have the luxury of choice when applying for jobs but any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you're already in Gangwon-do there is no reason why you can't just rock up to the schools in a suit and turn in a resume in person. When you've got such a short list of schools that you are interested in this would certainly increase your chances.

We had an interview at a university in Gangneung about a year and a half ago but we didn't end up going as we were hired elsewhere beforehand. I think that the school was Kwondong, or something like that. Their deal seemed to look pretty decent.

Go to some satellite schools of bigger unis...Wonju has one I think. They typically are more like unigwons and hire accordingly.
