Hey KJ, I can't deal ya this lens for the macro because I already own the Sigma 30mm 1.4. But I will say this is one of the best (if not THE best) lens I own. I would never part with mine, but 400,000won is a great price for this. Whoever ends up getting this will definitely NOT be disappointed, in my opinion. |

Ha, where were you a month ago? I ended up getting the Sigma 28 1.8 for 350,000. I agree, this is a good deal. |

Any problems with the lens? Many people report front focusing problems with it making auto-focus unusable. And was it bought in Korea? |

Have had a ton of sigma lenses and never have had a focusing problem.
Maybe buying from a guy selling out of a van by the river isn't such a good idea? (just joking). |

Meh, I've had a bunch of Sigmas too and never had any focusing issues. I agree that the quality control in Sigma or Tamron probably isn't up to the mark of Canon or Nikon, but I think the issues you read about with third party lenses on photo message boards are largely exaggerated. |

I bought this lens earlier today, and took about 100 or so shots with it today.
It's freaking amazing. Incredibly sharp, beautiful colors, and almost no missed shots from AF issues. It misses even less shots than my Canon 50mm f/1.8 II, and that one is generally spot on.
Really, the only mistakes I made today, is I wasn't used to the DOF of a 1.4, and I blurred part of my friend's in a close up. |
